Kisstopher Musick, PhD (she/her)
I am an American-trained psychologist, therapist, and coach with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals, couples, professionals, and executives navigate personal and professional challenges.
I hold a PhD and Master of Science in Psychology from Walden University. My training includes differential diagnosis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and career and executive development. I began my career with Applied Behavioral Consultants, a leading behavioral health organization in the United States, before establishing a private practice in California.
After relocating to Nagoya, Japan in 2007, I recognized the need for accessible, high-quality mental health and career support for the international and local communities. In response, I founded Adjustment Guidance, a practice dedicated to helping people gain clarity, build resilience, and create meaningful change.
My approach is compassionate, practical, and results-oriented. I provide a safe, confidential space where you can feel heard and understood while developing effective strategies to overcome challenges, strengthen relationships, advance your career, and improve overall well-being.
I believe everyone deserves more good days than bad, and I am committed to helping you move toward that goal.
I am a member of the Japanese Psychological Association (JPA), the Association of Black Psychologists (ABPsi), and Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. I also support Stonewall Japan, an organization serving the LGBTQIA+ community. My work follows the ethical guidelines of the Japanese Psychological Association.
